About the position: This position will be assigned to the Outdoor Recreation Center at Charleston Air Force Base.
This is a Regular Part Time position offering annual/sick leave, Health/Dental and Life Insurance, 401K and Retirement.
Duties
Performs and/or assist specialists in conducting recreational programs, and operation and maintenance of indoor and/or outdoor recreational facilities.
Sets up recreational areas. Takes reservations and payments from trips, tickets, etc.
Notifies participants of scheduled changes. Charges equipment and tools our of participants and checks items for condition on their return.
Assists in decorating facility. Maintains recreation areas, tools, and equipment in a neat and orderly manner.
Post announcements of scheduled activities and answers questions about time, place, and transportation, or other matters related to activities scheduled.
Assists in conducting inventories. Assists in preparation and clean-up of trips as well as maintenance of equipment.

Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- This position has physical lifting requirements which requires the incumbent to complete a favorable pre-employment physical.
- This position has been identified as a Test Designated Position (TDP). The incumbent of this position will be subject to and must consent to a pre-employment and random drug testing.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Applicants must have experience which provided a working familiarity with the routines and procedures followed in group activities or programs; and practical knowledge and/or experience of recreational activities and equipment, rules and procedures in a recreation program activity which has involved recreation work in the area of specialty in which the position is assigned.
Pre-employment physical. Must have a valid driver's license. Must satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquires (NACI), Must be CPR certified to include Bloodborne Pathogens and First Aid certified. This is a drug testing designated position. Incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use. (IAW AFI 44-107 DTD 1 APRIL 2010)
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
