About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at Peterson AFB.
This position will be filled on a permanent basis.
Duties
Provides guidance and technical assistance in the development of plans and orders to support real world contingencies and military training exercises.
Attends coordinated meetings, conferences and Working Groups (WG), and prepares reports relating the general conduct of the meetings, conferences, and WG.
Maintains operational awareness and incorporates doctrinally sound and theater specific lessons learned injects into each training event.
Responsible for planning, designing, and executing of exercises that meet the needs of selected training audiences.
Recommends development of specific weighted percentages needed to provide the most effective means to accomplish the exercise goals and objectives.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year probationary period may be required.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance based on SSBI with eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
- Incumbent must be willing to take and successfully pass a Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph (CI/Poly).
- Temporary duty travel may be required approximately 20% of the time.
- This position is a testing designated position (TDP) in accordance with (IAW) Drug Free Federal Workplace Program. The incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019 (Condition of Employment for Certain Positions).

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by planning military cyberspace exercises and operations at the operational and strategic level; applying knowledge of the Joint Planning Process and Joint Exercise Life Cycle at the Combatant Command, Division or Joint Staff level to plan military operations/exercises; coordinating with intra and inter-departmental, interagency, and international partners on a broad range of cyber topics and Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA); knowledge of CYBERCOM Service Cyber Components, relationships and authorities, with an understanding of the cyber domain.
