This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing,OFFICE OF HUMAN RESOURCES. As a Human Resources Specialist, you will serve as an advisor for controversial high-visibility programs that have a direct impact on the OHR. The incumbent is considered to be a technical authority on programs, policies, practices, and procedures that affect the OHR.
Duties
As a Human Resources Specialist, you will:
- Apply HR and technical skills, knowledge and understanding to help the OHR solve broad technical issues involving a variety of HR and other functions throughout the Bureau.
- Develop authoritative recommendations and, upon approval, develop detailed implementation strategies and plans to coordinate activities for successful implementation.
- Investigate and analyze current and innovative HR and technical practices and strategies in the public and private sectors for potential application to the OHR.
- Review, write, edit, and update HR policies and procedures, involving various HR functions.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized experience for the GS-14 is defined as one year of experience at the GS-13 level, or equivalent, that is directly related to the position and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes:
- Conducting in depth analysis and evaluation of administrative functions to determine challenges and create solutions to Human Resource functions; AND
- Conducting analyses of personnel data to improve the productivity, effectiveness, and efficiency of Human Resources related programs; AND
- Determining, recommending and researching administrative and operational policies and procedures in order for informed decisions to be made; AND
- Identifying and developing, monitoring and reporting human capital programs and initiatives.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13level for 52 weeks.
