This position is part of the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy - Headquarters, Department of Energy. As an Interdisciplinary Supervisory General Engineer/Physical Scientist, you will serve as the Deputy Director of the Industrial Efficiency Decarbonization Office (IEDO). This position shares in the duties, responsibilities, and authorities of the Director (IEDO).

Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENT: You must meet both the Basic Requirement and the Specialized Experience to qualify for this series as described below. See the "Education" section for the Basic Requirement. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities/competencies to perform successfully the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Providing technical, programmatic analysis and advice to leadership in support of program planning and policy development pertaining to industrial efficiency and decarbonization technologies; AND Evaluating the effectiveness of Federal, State, and local government policies and incentives for the market transformation of industrial efficiency and decarbonization technologies; AND Managing research, development and demonstration projects related to industrial efficiency and decarbonization processes to provide direction, consultation, advice, technical input, and analyses to stakeholders.
