About the Position: This position is located at the 88th MDG, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.

Duties

Plans and coordinates military construction projects, medical equipment installation, and complex projects to maintain patient care buildings. Interprets requirements for projects to include heating, ventilating, air-conditioning (HVAC), electrical, communications, medical gas, and other systems specific to medical equipment and ensures safe treatment of Medical Group patients. Coordinates projects with medical staff at all levels to minimize disruption to patient care and mitigate the effects of the projects on patient care such as temperature, noise, and any other factor that may inhibit standards of care. Reads, interprets and updates paper or computer-based engineering drawings and schematic diagrams. Prepares initial project scopes, descriptions, and justifications for complex healthcare facility maintenance contracts. Inspects maintenance projects or service contractor performance to ensure compliance with statements of work or other agreements, as well as conformance to codes and standards.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

• Moderate to heavy lifting up to 50 pounds is required.
