You will serve as a SECURITY ASSISTANT in the SPECIAL SECURITY OFFICER'S OFFICE of NAVAL WAR COLLEGE.

Duties

You will process access requirements forms in order to allow proper access for visitors. You will establish personnel security clearance or investigative records or computerized data concerning military and civilian personnel authorized access to Special Access Program material. You will coordinate with other Personnel Security competencies on security clearance related issues including access suspensions, clearance revocations and denials, derogatory information reporting, and foreign travel reporting requirements.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing knowledge of DOD and DON policies, requirements and procedures pertaining to the Industrial, Personnel, Information, and Physical security in performing duties associated with personnel access control and maintenance ; 2) Utilizing and providing assistance to personnel on using the Electronic Questionnaire Investigation Program (EQUIP); 3) Recieving and reviewing requests for security clearances and evaluating the sensitivity of the position to recommend an approval decision; and 4)Assisting with management and implementation of an accredited Sensitive Compartment Information Facility (SCIF).
