The purpose of the Commissary Contractor Monitor position is to conduct quality assurance inspections and contract surveillance duties of specified commissary stocking, order-writing, custodial, receiving, holding, and/or other contracted services performed in a commissary.
Duties
Conduct quality assurance inspection and contractor surveillance.
Provide comments and recommendation for additions, deletions, or changes to contractor services to ensure compliance with DeCA directives.
Approve or reject contractor's work schedule and checks work for quality and timeliness.
Maintain the store's space allocations program by such duties as designating to the contractor proper item shelf locations when shelf tags are missing or otherwise not identifiable.
Advise commissary or contracted order writers.
Act as the commissary manager's representative during the night time hours to ensure government property is secure.

Requirements

Qualifications
You must meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) qualifications for series 1101 and additional requirements by the announcement closing date. Your resume (and/or transcript if necessary) must clearly show that you have the qualifications described below. You can use experience, education, or a combination of the two to qualify.
To qualify for this position, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 grade level that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To be creditable, specialized experience must be at the GS-05 Grade Level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector.
Examples of specialized experience include:
Conducting quality assurance inspections and contract surveillance duties of specified commissary or retail grocery contracted services.
Apply retail grocery store administration policies and procedures as they relate to established contracts.
Monitoring vendors and/or contractors in a retail setting to ensure proper inventory.
You will receive credit for all relevant qualifying experience (paid and unpaid), including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Physical requirements: The work requires some physical exertion to include long periods of standing, walking in commissary stores and storage areas, and recurring bending, crouching, stooping stretching, reaching or similar activity.
