This position is located at Shiprock Service Unit, Northern Navajo Medical Center, Division of Clinical Services, Pharmacy Branch, Shiprock, NM.The purpose of this positions to perform administrative tasks associated with maintaining and supporting the work performed within the organization. Incumbent reports to the Supervisory Pharmacist.
Duties
Performs a wide variety of administrative tasks associated with maintaining and supporting the work of the organization.
Track and maintain records of pharmacy staff to ensure current credentials, licenses, and certifications are maintained.
Perform as a resource person for the Pharmacy Branch in equipment management. Maintain appointment and meeting schedule for the supervisor and those of other senior staff members.
Serve as point-of-contact for scheduling meetings and making reservations for conference rooms.
Enters information into established databases and similar systems which track various administrative activities of the organization.
Submits all required documents; tracks approval process to provide updates on status of acquisitions.
Receive, screen, and direct calls and visitors from within and outside the immediate organizational unit.
Develops pharmacist and technician schedule for the department.
Performs other duties assigned.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Create correspondence in proper formats utilizing word processing programs; maintain manual and electronic calendars to add, delete or change meetings; serves as a receptionist or point-of-contact for an office; maintaining electronic and hard copy files; inputting data into an automated timekeeping system; input data into an electronic database for procurement of equipment and supplies.

four (4) years of education beyond the high school level.
OR
Equivalent combination of successfully completed post-high school education and experience are also qualifying. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement.
Specialized Experience: Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
Time In Grade
Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
