This position serves as a Program Support Assistant (PSA) to provide administrative, clerical, and technical support to the Nurse Manager, Home Telehealth and Home Telehealth (HT) Lead for the RPM-HT Program. S/he reports directly to the Nurse Manager, Home Telehealth and receives general guidance from the HT Lead RN.
Duties
Maintains calendar and assist the Nurse Manager, Home Telehealth and HT Lead with all administrative functions.
Functional in the use of a variety of computer software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, TEAMS, and PowerPoint.
Updates RPM-HT emergency response list and RPM-HT 1-800 phone line; answers phone(s), secure messaging and voicemail; provides mailing services to include a variety of letters, fliers, enrollment/discharge information, email/faxing, copying and inter office mail upkeep; collects and distributes mail.
Highly proficient in the use of VistA and CPRS for purposes of preparing department level reports for documentation, data tracking, recording keeping, and assisting patients and the RPM-HT staff.
Responsible for establishing and maintaining inventory of all RPM-HT equipment through ROES access and review.
Responsible for monitoring the use of services, supplies, and equipment for the program.
Ability to fully communicate in a positive professional manor verbally and in writing with a variety of people from different backgrounds and different levels of understanding.
Ability to assist with problem solving in a positive, goal-oriented manner.
Will perform and document required RPMHT monitoring equipment troubleshooting and replacement as needed.
Provides clear, well-defined recommendations to resolve all or most of the unusual situations PSA functions with minimal to no supervisory referral using a variety of interpersonal skills and program knowledge,
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30-4:00pm, subject to change based on the needs of the facility.

This position may be authorized for telework. Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process.

You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-04 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Accurately compile and track program specific statistical information from various databases.
Produce various reports using data entry from existing department data.
Proficient use of a variety of computer software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft TEAMS, and PowerPoint.
Proficient use of established electronic medical records system, to include CPRS and Vista.
Perform accurate department inventory control for equipment ordering and retrieval and office supplies.
Remotely troubleshoot issued monitoring equipment with Veterans.

Education: Applicants may substitute 4 years of successfully completed education above the high school level in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite (transcripts required)

Combination: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have a combination of specialized experience as described above and education which totals in excess of the first 60 semester hours or beyond the second year (transcripts required)

Physical Requirements: The work is basically sedentary but requires walking, standing, bending and carrying light items such as books, papers, office supplies and RPM-HT equipment. No special physical demands are required to perform the work. The incumbent must be flexible in adjusting to constant changes in the workload.
