About the Position: This position is located in the Army Futures & Concepts Center - Medical Capability Development Integration Directorate - Army Capability Management Division. The Medical CDID is the premier designer of integrated and effective world-class military medical capabilities.
Duties
Serves as the Office Automation Assistant for the Chief, Requirements Determination Division (RDD), and division staff.
Performs a variety of administrative, clerical and operation support duties in support of a division sized element including controlling the incoming action documents, responding to inquiries, arranging scheduling, ordering supplies and other tasks.
Serves as the division records management coordinator and mail control coordinator.
Serves as a Training Coordinator.
Serves as division personnel action officer for actions and ratings within the division.
Tracks and monitors due dates for civilian and military performance ratings within the division.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Applying knowledge of basic budgetary and financial management principles sufficient to assist with annual budget preparation and expensing; 2) Coordinating the work of the office with subordinate office units and staff including advising clerical, and administrative personnel on new procedures or regulations and on information to be provided for use in conferences or reports; and 3) Reviewing publications, directives, and other information which may affect the organization and taking appropriate follow-up action. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-05.
This position requires a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute (WPM) based on a 5 minute sample with 3 or fewer errors.
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
