Serves as project manager for environmental compliance related to flood recovery, infrastructure improvements, and repair related to the 2022 flood in Yellowstone National Park.
This is a temporary promotion not to exceed 1 year and can be extended up to 5 years; position may be made permanent without further competition.

Duties
National Environmental Policy Act Project Manager for environmental compliance related to flood recovery, infrastructure improvements and repair related to the 2022 flood in Yellowstone National Park.
Coordinator and liaison between other federal, state, and local partners and cooperating agencies for flood recovery compliance projects.
Maintains compliance with NEPA, ESA, CWA, NHPA, other laws, policies, and regulations.
Integral member of interdisciplinary teams responsible for flood recovery and infrastructure repair related to the 2022 flood in Yellowstone National Park.
Reports directly to the Chief of the Yellowstone Center for Resources and interfaces frequently with the Branch of Environmental Quality, Senior Leadership Team of the park and the Superintendent's Office.
Qualifications
All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-10/26/2023-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement.
Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. To receive credit for experience, your resume MUST clearly indicate the nature of the duties and responsibilities for each position, starting and ending dates of employment (month/year), and the resume must reflect full and/or part-time or total number of hours worked (i.e., work 40+ hours a week, rather than indicating full-time). If part-time, the hours must be annotated to be able to pro-rate the amount of qualified specialized experience.
For periods of time that reflect military service, the DD-214 or Statement of Service is sufficient to meet the full and/or part-time hours requirement as the service dates will be reflected.
To qualify for this position at the GS-12 grade level, you must possess the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as: Applying concepts and methods of environmental protection work; interpreting plans and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) laws, regulations, policies and guidance for land and resource management programs; providing advice to other National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) practitioners and park or regional leadership regarding the application of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) laws regulations, policies, and guidance to environmental compliance activities; reviewing environmental documents, including National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documents, to ensure legal sufficiency and compliance with applicable laws and regulations; working with public land resource values, issues, or controversies; and using computerized database systems to track projects, conduct public involvement, and analyze data. You must include hours per week worked.
Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
