THIS IS AN INDIANA NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION This position is part of the IN 122nd Fighter Wing, Indiana National Guard under Position Description Number D0021000. If you would like the complete list of duties, please contact the POC of this announcement.

Duties

Troubleshoots, installs, removes, repairs, modifies, adjusts, inspects, and tests such components as regulators, flow indicators, actuator motors, seat actuators, catapult guide rails, ejection seats, rocket packs, and canopies, etc. Inspects pressurization system air pressure gauges for sufficient pressure and bottles and regulators for general condition and serviceability. Performs installation, modification, and repair of aircraft egress systems. Performs maintenance, troubleshooting, overhaul, repair, modification and periodic servicing of air munitions and munitions systems applicable to reconnaissance aircraft. Schedules periodic maintenance of aircraft munitions systems when notified by Maintenance Control of inspections due. Loads cartridges, flares, etc., into aircraft systems and removes if not used in flight, following applicable handling, loading, and checkout procedures. Enforces safety, fire, security, and housekeeping regulations. Reviews bench stock to determine adequacy and to determine required renewals/deletions to accomplish programs. Inventories, provides security, and monitors the condition of assigned equipment. Assists in training of Drill Status Guardsmen. Assists in training of technician augmentee for emergency arming/de-arming of cartridges. Prepares for or participates in various types of readiness evaluations such as inspections, mobility, and command support exercises. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Military Grades: E3 through E5 Compatible Military Assignments: 65 Series The policy to have a compatible MOS/AFSC has been suspended. When reinstated, you will have one year to meet the qualifications of this position or meet the requirements in the guidance set by NGB. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which demonstrates the applicant's ability to repair malfunctions of ordnance equipment and components. Ability to use sketches, electrical diagrams, technical specifications, and engineering drawings. Experience which demonstrates skill in the use of test equipment to make electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic checks. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: At least 18 months experience or training in planning and layout of repair sequence and ability to complete modification, repair, and installation of ordnance systems. Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting malfunctions and determining remedies where complex relationships exist. Experience in hand tools and the use of a variety of measuring and test equipment. Experience in interpreting technical directions, blueprints, sketches, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer's specifications Specialized Experience Requirements for NGB Federal Wage System Positions for claiming civilian job experience: Creditable experience must have been performed at least 30 consecutive days and be properly documented. Experience in the same line of work can only be credited on the basis of a regular 40-hour workweek. Hours per week MUST be documented on resume to receive any credit.
