This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration. In the Office of the Chief of Staff, Executive Secretariat division (SE). This position is for a supervisor to lead the Special Events staff in SE responsible for scheduling, managing and coordinating National Archives' special events/meetings. The SE Special Events team has the responsibility to oversee, schedule, manage, and coordinate all special events, meetings, and activities for the Archivist and National Archives.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: - Supervising or leading a team of employees and monitoring their progress towards accomplishing goals and meeting deadlines; AND - Evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of operating procedures, regulations, and policies to recommend improvements and resolve problems; AND - Managing projects from inception to completion through project planning (i.e. requirements analysis, actions planning); AND - Experience serving as a project manager responsible for planning, coordinating, directing and implementing multiple projects; AND - Experience planning large events or ceremonies
