Organizational Location: These positions are located in the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Enforcement and Removal Operations, in Detroit, Michigan, El Paso, Texas, Harlingen, Texas, Miami, Florida, New Orleans, Louisiana, and Salt Lake City, Utah.
This is a non-bargaining unit position.
Duties
As a Supervisory Mission Support Specialist Assistant Field Office Director (AFOD), you will perform the following duties:
Develop overall operational plans, objectives and strategies for key support processes;
Monitor and evaluate the delivery of support services to key field offices and employees;
Direct and oversee the execution of budget, logistics, procurement, and quality assurance programs
Lead the development and implementation of effective and responsive human resources management, training, labor and employee relations, and public affairs programs

You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level or equivalent performing duties that include:
Providing expert advice, assistance and authoritative guidance to supervisors, managers and employees on complex and sensitive issues pertaining to multiple administrative programs (e.g., budget, logistics, procurement, human resources, labor and employee relations, and public affairs programs);
Ensuring consistency in the application of administrative programs, determining areas of procedural and regulatory deficiencies and developing strategic goals for change having agency-wide impact;
Analyzing and resolving particularly complex and sensitive problems and issues such as those involving conflicting laws and other requirements; and
Developing valid techniques for measuring the success of several administrative programs.
