Duties
You will answer incoming phone calls and direct phone calls to necessary personnel
You will review client intake sheets to determine completeness.
You must be able to differentiate between legal and non-legal requests.
You will handle incoming and outgoing mail and shipments and maintain proper logs.
You will prepare and store case files and client files in accordance with prescribed procedures.
You will support attorneys and paralegals with administrative requirements such as scanning, electronic file management, delivering documents electronically or in hard copy to clients and other parties.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Responding to routine and highly technical requests for information ; 2) Utilizing various databases to store, maintain, and track case files; 3) Preparing documents, filings, and case correspondence; 4) Researching, evaluating, and coordinating information to identify and verify all relevant facts in a particular file; and 5) Managing case filings and status updates for client files.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
Education
Recent graduates who completed a qualifying associates, bachelors, masters, professional, doctorate, vocational or technical degree or certificate within the last two years of the closing date of the announcement. Also, veterans who were unable to apply within two years of receiving my degree, due to military service obligations but are still within six years of graduation completion date with a qualifying degree.
Success completion of bachelor's degree with superior academic achievementOr1 academic year of graduate education.
OR
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
