Duties

Responsible for troubleshooting clinical/user problems within the automated systems. Enter specific lab and radiological orders in the automated patient care system. Create clinic templates and schedules making adjustments when needed. Prepare reports based upon the requirements specified by supervisor or standard procedures, and the intended use of the data or report. Provide training to new clinic personnel on proper use of systems. Provide training to new clinic personnel on proper use of systems. Record information from providers such as orders, x-rays, laboratory reports, and other relevant patient data. Extract medical information and review records for completeness, accuracy, and consistency with medical facility requirements.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service which includes documented experience: 1) utilizing various electronic databases for data entry or drafting documents, or maintaining patient information; 2) performing clerical duties such as scheduling appointments and/or meetings, or receiving phone calls, or drafting reports, or greeting patients/visitors; 3) gathering patient information such as medical history, or test results, or lab reports to prepare reports or charts. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
