Duties
Ensure the timely processing of customer orders and customer access to product, account, and order information, with the ability expedite material within the supply chain.
Review unfilled order status on a daily basis and takes appropriate action to escalate fulfillment actions not meeting customer requirements.
Apply standard operating procedures to request diversion or emergency transport of shipments.
Investigate, coordinate processes requisitions requiring corrective actions.
Receive and process Military Standard Requisitioning Procedures (MILSTRIP) status updates and advise the Industrial Customer on adverse status.
Contact customers to clarify and facilitate the resolution of issues affecting supply transactions.
Review performance metrics and trends and provide input/suggestions regarding actions needed to improve current processes.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Supply Technician, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-05 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. To qualify at the GS-06 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. To qualify at the GS-07 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
GS-05 level: Maintain customer data and responds to customer inquiries; provide order status information to customers and takes action to ensure timely support; ensure accuracy of a variety of supply documents and expedite material within various supply agencies.
GS-06 level: Provide supply support for production, overhaul, repair or other operations for items requiring special handling; investigate, coordinate and processes requisitions requesting corrective actions to ensure proper flow through automated systems and the ability to identify alternate sources of supply to meet required need dates would need to process supply orders request through Material Access Technology (MAT).
GS-07 level: Provide immediate status to the customer regarding requisitions/orders, discrepancies and other request and takes action to ensure timely support; explain established policies, supply procedures and practice and resolves problems concerning requisitions, receipts, discrepancies or other customer requests and receive and process MILSTRIP requisition status using a variety of online systems providing updates to the customer (i.e. One Touch Support ( OneTouch),FEDMALL, Material Requirements (MRQT) and Material Access Technology ( MAT).
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
GS-06 & GS-07 -Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.

GRADUATE EDUCATION: One academic year of graduate education is considered to be the number of credits hours that your graduate school has determined to represent one academic year of full-time study. Such study may have been performed on a full-time or part-time basis. If you cannot obtain your graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) should be considered as satisfying the requirement for one year of full-time graduate study.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
