Duties
This position is located under the Pubic and Governmental Affairs, Digital Media Division in Washington, District of Columbia.
Qualifications
To qualify for 12, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-11.
Additional Conditions of Employment:
GS-12 - You qualify if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal, State, or Local government or equivalent public or private sector experience, performing the following duties:
applying communication, programming, and project management skills to develop accessible content for the web; and
performing technical writing, software development, or user interface (UI) design; and
utilizing knowledge of web accessibility and familiarity with assistive technologies and design compliance standards to audit websites & web applications, test user interfaces against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), and provide consultation on effectively implementing remediations; and
creating new documentation and training materials, mentoring staff, and managing and implementing web accessibility best practices and policies.
Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume.
