This position is part of the Defense Media Activity. The incumbent will be responsible for serving as an Management Support Officer for DMA, Riverside, California and senior administrative staff adviser to the Director, DMA-Riverside and senior leaders for DMA..
Duties
As a Supervisory Management Support Officer at the GS-0301-13 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Developing and managing facility-wide policy, plans, and administrative operations and providing managerial and executive expertise regarding all aspects of staff and functional operations.
Oversee coordination of DMA capabilities used to augment or support coverage of DoD events.
Presenting analysis and proposals at all levels within DMA Riverside and with external agencies, advising on new policies and process and explaining alternative and recommended solutions to complex administrative and functional issues.
Serves as the project manager for complex technical projects and initiatives that impact the Riverside facility.
Directs, coordinates, and manages the administration, technical, procurement, human resources, facility, security, financial, and logistic support functions.
Develops, manages, and negotiates Inter-Service Support Agreements (ISSA) for installation support.
Manages accounts for DMA Systems.
Supervising subordinate civilian/military personnel.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service:
Governing a broad range of administrative and operational support for military and civilian personnel in the broadcast, media or audiovisual industries in the following areas:
Security, information, budget, resource management, procurement/contract management, common technical systems, manpower, personnel actions, administration, facilities, property accountability, logistics, financial, emergency services, transportation, reproduction services, and safety,
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
