This position is established to serve as the agency's Travel Program Manager and is responsible for all areas of MARAD's E-Travel management system (E2 Solutions) and the Department’s travel card program. The travel program includes domestic and international travel, funded by appropriations and reimbursable sources, for employees and contractors at headquarters and regional field offices nationwide.

Qualifications
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience requirements.To qualify for the Grade 12, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-11 it must include:
Experience with travel functions and their interrelationships to investigate complaints or errors that require reconstructing and reconciling incomplete information and conducting searches for required information.
Experience in analyzing, evaluating and tracking financial and other types of data and records.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Administration and Management - Knowledge of planning, coordination, and execution of business functions, resource allocation, and production.
Attention to detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
Communication and media - Knowledge of the production, communication and dissemination of information and ideas to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media.
Customer Service (*) - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public,individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
