This is not a drug testing designated position (TDP).
This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Sacramento Loan Processing Center in Citrus Heights, CA.
Serves as a senior Loan Specialist and is responsible for performing reviews to approve final administrative actions on financial and lending activities assigned to the Center.
Duties
Analyze the most complex and/or problematic loan applications nationwide and related financial documents where extraordinary circumstances require an expert's opinion to determine the financial and credit merits of the application.
Oversees uniformity of application and appropriateness and checks the financial analysis and credit decision of Center staff for timeliness and quality of documentation.
Ensures that all Center staff establish appropriate terms and conditions for transactions, which are optimal within SBA guidelines, and negotiates with Lenders/CDCs as required.
Conducts extensive investigations and analyses to determine the most appropriate action when there are serious and complex questions surrounding a 504 loan application or when the case requires especially sensitive handling because of political or other considerations.
Requirements
- You must be a U.S. Citizen.
- You must be a current SBA career/conditional competitive service employee.
- You must successfully complete a background investigation.
- You may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
Qualifications
For GS-13:One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector:
Interpreting and applying rules, polices, and regulations pertaining to commercial loans and small businesses; and
Analyzing obligor's financial statements and the earning potential of business enterprises to make recommendations for commercial/business loan applications; and
Analyzing obligor's financial conditions to determine repayment ability for commercial loans for small businesses through a lending institution loan program.
