This is a non-supervisory, bargaining unit position. Relocation expenses will not be authorized for the person(s) selected under this vacancy announcement.
Duties
Ensures all audio-visual equipment and facilities utilized by the Multimedia Group are in proper working condition. Plans preventative maintenance projects (including firmware updates), equipment lifecycle management, and technical implementations of new projects. Fabricates SDI cables, analog audio cables, analog video cables, and RJ45 cables. When working with applications that must be hosted on the Library’s IT network, work with IT staff of the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) to ensure applications and updates are properly reviewed and approved before distributing. Maintains facility wiring diagrams of all audio-visual equipment.
Qualifications
Applicants must have had progressively responsible experience and training sufficient in scope and quality to furnish them with an acceptable level of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position without more than normal supervision.
Skills related to the maintenance of audiovisual production equipment and infrastructure.**
Knowledge of inventory management.**
Knowledge of production services.**
Ability to interact collaboratively with others related to multimedia services.
Ability to communicate effectively other than in writing.
