You will serve as a EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT/ CBRNE SPECIALIST in the AC/S G-3 OPERATIONS AND TRAINING DIRECTORATE of MARINE CORPS RECRUIT DEPOT.

Duties

You will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing policies, programs, and operational plans to enable the command to prevent, protect prepare for, and mitigate the effects of a large-scale emergency or disaster. You will accomplish through planning, training, and exercises that build and maintain necessary capabilities to prepare, prevent, protect, mitigate, respond to, and recover from emergency incidents. You will establish and maintain strong working relationships with adjacent miliary commands and civilian emergency management and emergency response organizations to facilitate coordinated response capabilities. You will serve as the MCRD/WRR CBRNE Specialist, responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing policies, programs, and operational plans to enable the command to prepare for, respond to, and recover from a CBRNE incident. You will identify CBRNE-related terrorist threats, the analysis and dissemination of threat information, and standardization of response measures.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing, coordinating, and implementing policies, programs, and operational plans for emergency management and leading planning teams to produce comprehensive emergency management plans and incident-specific emergency action plans. Experience managing an Emergency Operations Center (EOC), training personnel for the proper functioning of the EOC, and directing the EOC during an incident response.
