About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency, at the Naval Medical Center San Diego CA, Market Leadership A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Duties

Position serves as an Emergency Manager, working under the direction of the Assistant Director for Support Operations (ADSO) within a Defense Health Network (DHN) Develop plans and procedures and maintains equipment and training for CBRNE program. Develop and coordinate full scale contingency exercises and trainings. Serve as subject matter expert on Hospital Incident Command System. Serve as liaison between hospital Command and the installations, local counterparts, and higher authority as directed.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Position requires incumbent to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
  • Incumbent is considered Category 5 key/emergency essential personnel to the command and may be required to report to work during natural and human-caused disasters.
  • The incumbent may be required to be on call 24 hours to support National Security Special Events (NSSE’s) as directed by higher authority.
