About the position: This position will be assigned to the Marketing department, Air Force Academy, Colorado. This position does include benefits.

Duties

Executes 10th Force Support Squadron brand through messaging, copy, graphical, video, and promotional content to be distributed online. Responsible for creating, editing, publishing, administering, and removing website and social media content. Manages multiple versions of content, designs and implements new technology, recommends solutions for customers, and performs web search data analysis. Responsible for development and design of weekly e-mail to AF Academy cadets and prep school students. Develops content for all customer-facing formats, including website and social media. Works in tandem with other marketing specialists to develop creative promotions, information, and direct marketing for both website pages and social media. Reviews copy, graphics, advertisements, and links to ensure quality and proper branding of websites. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements

Qualifications

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have 1-3 years progressively responsible experience and skill in multi-channel marketing to include internet and social media, web content development, writing, publishing promotional and article content for the web, and e-mail campaigns. Active practitioner of social media and networking platforms and tools including but not limited to Hootsuite, Flickr, Facebook, Twitter, You Tube and Pinterest and their respective participants. Must possess broad understanding of web-based trends and technologies, including demonstrated experience with e-mail marketing and social media. Must have formalized training in web development and design. Experience using publishing tools across large websites. Experience with content management systems. Strong analytical problem-solving and organizational skills. Must have the ability to multitask and work under pressure with minimal supervision. Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, WordPress, and domain hosting with ability to work in a wide range of resource types and levels in a very fast paced environment. Working knowledge of Adobe Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and MS Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel. Ability to work interactively to create and execute against promotional schedules and campaigns. Applicant must have customer service experience dealing with internal and external customers. Ability to work in a team environment. Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds and have the physical dexterity to move promotional trailers and stand for long periods of time at both indoor and outdoor functions. A Tier background investigation is required.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
