Duties
Serve as Subject Matter Expert and Action Officer for HQ Space Force Operational Capability Requirements Directorate. You will develop and manage formal space requirements for capability development to the Joint Warfighter from inception to acquisition. A dynamic work environment in which you will collaborate and confer with all levels of the enterprise- from Deltas to OSD entities.
Ideal Candidate:
Space operations and program development experience; MAJCOM/FLDCOM experience desired; knowledge of requirements development; must have experience in Missile Warning/Missile Tracking mission area.
Abilities:
1. Experience and knowledge of Space missions and interrelated mission areas, to include Intelligence.
2. Knowledge and experience with the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS).
3. Knowledge of the Space Force capability development processes.
4. Ability to effectively perform and accomplish multiple projects/programs within established guidelines.
5. Ability to establish customer relationships and translates customer needs to programs/projects.
6. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; negotiate complex issues; and maintains good working relations.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship Required
- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret w/SCI clearance.
- This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program.
- Space and/or cyberspace operations experience is highly desirable.
- May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments.
- May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
- This position is eligible for situational telework.
- PCS/Incentive funding is not available.
