This position is located in Logistics Management (NSL), Supply Chain Services (NS), Chief Administrative Office (N), Bonneville Power Administration (BPA).
This position serves as the Logistics Manager for Supply Chain Services and a member of the NS management team with responsibility for providing direction and leadership in the planning, development, and administration of programs, systems, and work processes, which are necessary to meet all agency logistics needs.
Duties
As a Supervisory General Supply Specialist, you will:
Exercise delegated managerial authority to set a series of annual and longer-range work plans and schedules for in-service and contracted work.
Make major recommendations and decisions related to policy formulation and long-range planning in connection with prospective changes in functions and programs.
Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
Find and implement ways to eliminate or reduce significant bottlenecks and barriers to production, promote team building, improve business practices, and increase the quality of the work directed.
Provide administrative guidance, strategic direction and oversight to 3 managers (NSLW, NSLT and NSLM) and the HazMat team staff.
Incorporate Lean and/or 6-Sigma principles throughout all aspects of the operation.
Oversee requirements development and establishment of operational performance reporting mechanisms (metrics, KPIs) and monitors subsequent program performance to ensure business goals are consistently achieved.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A qualified candidate's resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) in the Federal service.
Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Planning, developing, and administering programs, systems, and work processes for managing and warehousing materials/equipment, filling orders, transporting materials/equipment to and from the appropriate locations, and performing investment recovery actions including assessing, selling, disposing of, and re-using materials (including hazardous materials processing).
