You will serve as a LIBRARY TECHNICIAN in the OFFICE OF THE SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OFFICE OF ACADEMIC OPERATIONS, JAMES A. ZIMBLE LEARNING RESOURCE CENTER'S of UNIF SRVS UNI OF THE HLTH SCI.

Duties

You will purchase books, eBook's, computer equipment, software, and supplies from a variety of vendors, online or by phone, and track orders as they arrive. You will enter Purchase Requests in an automated system for subscriptions and generate Statements of Work and Sole Source justification for those requests. You will contact vendors for prices and product details, communicating with contracting personnel to supply necessary paperwork and information and resolve problems such as loss of service. You will work closely with internal partners and external vendors to ensure purchasing procedures are completed both accurately and in a timely manner. You will maintain data bases and spreadsheets to track orders and expenses and maintain the paper files to ensure that all necessary paperwork is present and properly filed. You will reconcile monthly credit card statement, adjusting entries as required, made proper notations, and upload documents into automated purchase folders. You will provide customer service to patrons regarding services provided by the library, book journal, how to use literature searches, and resolve problems using library systems. You will communicate with other departments to translate library needs, regarding funds, approval of purchases, and finances.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: experience utilizing automated systems to purchase books, subscriptions, and supplies online or by phone, track orders, and providing customer service assisting patrons in finding hard-to-find information, assisting other departments translating library needs and communicating about purchasing funds, approval and finances for a Library Resource Center. Education

In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

A combination of experience and graduate education, as described above, that equates to one year of experience.
