You will serve as an ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the FACILITIES MANAGEMENT DIVISION of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.
Duties
You will take action to administer the emergency, urgent, and routine calls for assigned facilities.
You will track estimates and expenditures and implement controls necessary to keep budget execution in line.
You will anticipate problems, identify and remove productivity disincentives and resolve all concerns before they become major issues.
You will communicate customer concerns and desires so that proper customer focus will be incorporated in the funding decision making process.
You will review projects that impact assigned facilities to ensure that sound engineering principles are utilized.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
Outside applicants (i.e., no current or prior federal competitive or excepted service) Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-08) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following: 1) Communicating daily with customers and coordinating all maintenance services for assigned facilities; 2) Screening work requirements considering issues of safety, urgency, health, and security and recommending or initiating appropriate actions to maintain the facility and minimize life cycle costs; 3) Coordinating work between government forces and contractors to minimize delays that could result in excessive costs; and 4) Tracking estimates and expenditures for budget execution. 5) using computers and application software such as spreadsheets, word processors, databases, graphics, and slide presentations.
Current or prior federal employees: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS 07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
