The incumbent serves as the Chief of Staff to the Executive Director and the Deputy Executive Director in the Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Integration Office (AUS), managing the front office operations for the organization and directing the activities of staff, while providing technical oversight and advice to other positions throughout AUS.
Duties
The Chief of Staff provides advice to other positions throughout the Service Office (SO) and serves as liaison between offices internal and external to AUS. Applies a detailed knowledge of the technical aspects of the work that is directed; a detailed knowledge of budget, human resource management, and other administrative policies and procedures; and a comprehensive understanding of the objectives of the major subdivision, the LOB/SO, and the FAA. Work includes complex projects and technical programs based on the objectives of the LOB/SO, and frequently the FAA.
