The Airway Transportation Systems Specialists (ATSS) at this level is recognized as the subject matter expert in their field. All duties of an ATSS are tied to maintaining safe and efficient operating capacity of the vast and complex network of electronics systems required for the world's largest air traffic control and navigation system. ATSS personnel install, evaluate, maintain, modify and certify facilities, services and equipment that support the National Airspace System (NAS).
Duties
Serves as a Systems Specialist ATSS (Environmental/Power Systems), responsible for performing a variety of functions directly relating to the operation of the NAS.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents)
- Designated or Random Drug Testing required.
- Incumbent must possess a valid driver's license.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level of FV-H/Level III or the equivalent FG/GS-12. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Specialized experience is: Applying knowledge of ACEPS Legacy and ACEPS II, Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS), L3 Static Transfer Switches, BACnet Operations and Monitoring Systems, Veeter Route Operations and Monitoring Systems, Underground Storage Tanks, Fire Alarm and Detection Monitoring Systems, Power Distribution Systems, Heating (Boilers), Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) (Chillers).Generally, experience at the next lower level, Pay Band H/level III or equivalent, meets the minimum qualifications for this position as long as the experience supports the Demonstrated Abilities identified in this announcement.You must apply online to receive consideration for this position.
