This position is located with the Office of the Secretary of Interior, Office of Federal Acknowledgement in Washington, District of Columbia.
Duties
Maintains administrative operation of the office on a daily basis.
Performs budget administration duties, monitoring and tracking obligations and expenditures, processing payroll and monitoring and correcting payroll errors.
Oversees status of personnel actions, mainlining unofficial personnel files, and coordinating with the Personnel Office to complete actions.

Qualifications
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
GS- 9:
Have at least one year experience at the GS-7 grade level or equivalent performing the following: performing budget administration duties such as tracking obligations and expenditures; overseeing and providing updates of personnel actions; and coordinating meetings and maintaining schedules.
OR
Education: 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent graduate degree or a LL.B or J.D. in a related field of study.
OR
A combination of specialized experience and education that totals 100% of the experience requirement.

Merit Promotion candidates must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the announcement closing date.

If you cannot obtain your graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) should be considered as satisfying the requirement for one year of full-time graduate study.
