Duties
As an Office Director - Stakeholder Integration & Engagement, you will:
Oversee stakeholder integration and engagement considerations in strategic planning and assistance to industry; regulatory, domestic and international law enforcement intelligence, and foreign partners in the effective use of FinCEN authorities, BSA data and other data to combat terrorist financing, money laundering activity, and other illicit financial crimes.
Oversee and plan FinCEN's public-private workstreams, including Bank Secrecy Act Advisory Group (BSAAG) work and FinCEN Exchanges. These activities include meeting scheduling demands, formulating agendas, preparing materials and, notices, membership nominations and recommending new members.
Manage essential relationships through professional, timely, and strategic communication to advance FinCEN's mission and priorities. Integrate FinCEN functions within other elements of Treasury/TFI and other U.S. Government components, including industry, regulatory authorities, law enforcement, the intelligence community, and foreign partners.
Act as a key liaison between SOD and other FinCEN divisions on network data access and stakeholder integration and engagement policy matters. Serve as an expert resource to advisory and working groups, planners, and others interested in SODs activities.
Represent SOD/FinCEN in internal and external meetings, explaining the views of and pursuing the interests of SOD and FinCEN management.
Participate with the Associate Director in formulating, planning, and directing programs designed to support FinCEN's mission and stakeholders through extensive interagency and public-private coordination, information and resource sharing, and analysis and liaison activities designed to address priority threats.
Provide administrative and technical of senior specialists and liaisons, including overseeing the planning and assigning of work, identifying, and assigning priorities, rejecting and accepting products, evaluating performance, promoting team building, settling disputes, taking and recommending personnel actions, and effectively promoting equal employment opportunities.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience for the GS-15: You must have at least one year of experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal service, which has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
Experience in stakeholder engagement, such as designing approaches to improve relationships with external partners, engaging in information sharing, or collaborating on the implementation of anti-money laundering or other regulatory obligations; AND
Oversight of line employees, reviewing their products and providing mentoring.
This type of interaction with external stakeholders may have been obtained through work experience with a financial institution, regulatory agency, and/or law enforcement agency, or in a related field such as law or consulting.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
