This position is located in Office of General Counsel (GC). The incumbent is responsible for all administrative and legal operations support to include human resources, budget, accounting and finance, travel, payroll, purchase card program, and procurement requisitions.
Duties
As a Mission Support Specialist, GS-0301-11, you will perform the following major duties:
Responsible for all administrative programs for the General Counsel office including human resources, budget, travel, payroll, purchase card program, training, procurement and contracting.
Plans, prioritizes, and completes work based on the needs of the office and recommends changes to provide appropriate support to the General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel, and staff at all levels.
Designs and creates internal office databases for assigning, tracking, and managing tasks and projects, performing follow-up with office personnel to ensure effective task management, and creating required reports.
Serves as Primary coordinator for the subpoena and enforcement databases.
Provides support on an as needed basis to attorneys and the paralegal, including providing administrative support for litigation and other legal administrative hearings and proceedings.

Qualifications
GS-11: You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-09 level in the Federal Service (or obtained in the private or public sectors) performing the following activities:
Managing and coordinating administrative programs i.e., human resources, payroll, travel, budget and procurement; and
Providing legal operations support and assistance on a variety of technical legal documents preparing, proofreading, and processing complaints, motions, orders, answers, pleadings, and subpoenas; assembling exhibits, affidavits, and other legal documents.

Education: You may substitute a doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent degree) or three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in any field, or L.L.M. if related for experience at the GS-11 grade level or such education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position.
