The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) Directorate for Mission Integration (MI) creates a consistent and holistic view of intelligence from collection to analysis and serves as the Director of National Intelligence's (DNI) principal advisor on all aspects of intelligence. MI integrates mission capabilities, informs enterprise resource and policy decisions, and ensures the delivery of timely, objective, accurate, and relevant intelligence.
Duties
Serve as Director and staff co-lead on Iran issues/priorities.
Maintain situational awareness of significant issues affecting NIM Near East in general, Iran in particular, and the broader Community; alert senior NIM-NE and ODNI/DMI staff regarding emerging issues that affect the office.
Drive integration and collaboration within and across the IC related to priority Iran issues.
Maintain effective working relationships with other ODNI and IC components and other government agencies to address issues that span multiple mission or program areas.
Lead, plan, and prepare briefings, reports, and presentations to organizational leadership, senior policymakers, senior United States (U.S.) Government agencies, and USG officials, in a manner that meets their specified requirements, and provide expert analysis and recommendations that ensure IC strategic plans and programs align with strategic objectives.
Partner with ODNI staff, Functional, Mission, and Enterprise Managers, and IC elements to promote implementation of mission and enterprise objectives.
Lead, plan, and oversee the advancement of outreach activities within and beyond the IC to ensure long term strategy development is informed by the latest and best efforts across the U.S. Government, industry, and foreign partners.
Ensure full range of understanding of customer requirements and ensure requirements have been conveyed to and coordinated with the ODNI and the IC.
Represent NIM Near East leadership, in their absence, at internal and external meetings, conferences, and other public fora.
Support briefings to senior IC officials and other major stakeholders' collaboration progress, issues and challenges.
Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements:
Knowledge of Iran and the Middle East region.
Superior interpersonal skills and superior ability to work effectively in both an independent capacity and a team or collaborative environment.
Superior ability to identify emerging trends and strategic issues and incorporate these in developing strategic plans for the organization.
Superior ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in written reports, and to logically analyze, synthesize, and evaluate multiple sources of information for their inclusion in briefings and written documents.
Expert organizational and interpersonal skills to facilitate diverse forums, manage competing priorities, and advocate new ideas/concepts/processes.
Desired Requirements:
Superior critical thinking skills, including the ability to think strategically, identify needs and requirements, develop recommendations, and evaluate outcomes against goals and objectives.
Superior ability to anticipate issues relevant to the IC and United States Government and take the initiative to recommend and implement needed actions.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience as determined by mission specialty area.
