You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the INTELLIGENCE OPERATION DIVISION of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.
Duties
You will provide oversight of cybersecurity and information assurance activities in support of the Division's Special Security Office (SSO) and
Advanced Program Support Office (APSO).
You will appropriately assign and utilize available resources to meet mission requirements for all Division tasking, requirements, actions, and initiatives.
You will coordinate/participate in internal audits/reviews and compliance inspections of Special Access Program (SAP), Controlled Access
Program (CAP) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security programs.
You will lead Information System Assess and Authorization projects, meeting authorization standards for new systems and maintaining accreditation for systems awarded Authority to Operate (ATO) designations.
You will effectively communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing, with various diverse groups such as Security, Engineering, Test and Evaluation, Command Staff, Program Offices, Navy, Regional SSO Staff, and/or outside Agencies.
You will perform courier duties as required to transport classified material between cleared facilities.
You will ensure all Information Systems Security Officers receive the necessary technical and security training.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area ISSM level Advanced within 12 months of appointment.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS-11 and GS-12 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: evaluating computer software systems to provide guidance on resolving cybersecurity or system vulnerability issues and ensuring the secure development and testing of software systems.
