The primary purpose of this position is to exercise technical and administrative supervision over subordinate workers in accomplishing trades and labor work of the Grissom ARB Regional Isochronal Dock.
Duties
-Performs work planning responsibilities. Plans use of workers, equipment, facilities, and materials on a daily or by
project basis.
-Performs work direction responsibilities. Assigns work to individuals and provides technical direction and/or
help in accomplishing difficult work steps and processes.
-Performs administration responsibilities. Participates with employees in the development of performance plans
and recommends them to supervisors.
-Provides a work environment that is free from all forms of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. Supports
the agency's EEO program through allocation of personnel to participate in community outreach and recruitment programs,
ensures full cooperation of employees with EEO office officials.
-Ensures education in, compliance with, and practice of security directives, good safety, and health habits in
all work areas. Ensures employees with access to classified information comply with security directives.

- May be required to work overtime, rotating shifts, uncommon tours, weekends, etc.
- This is a drug-testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.
- The work requires the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver’s license is
required for the position.
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or
commercial aircraft.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- May be required to fly in commercial and military aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
- This position requires Lead/ Supervisory duties.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the quality level of experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Handbook X-118C.
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C for the WG-8800, Aircraft Overhaul Family. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.
The screen out element for this position is the ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision.

1. Knowledge of a wide range of principles, processes, and techniques of trade(s) and/or craft(s) supervised and personnel

2. Knowledge of safety regulations, practices, and procedures.
3. Knowledge of the use and maintenance of hand and power tools, equipment, and precision measuring and /or test
equipment common to trades supervised.
4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, sketches, and technical specifications.
5. Ability to plan and organize work assignments to include determining resources required to accomplish mission.
6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
