About the Position: This position is located at the Directorate of Human Resources, Joint Base Myer - Henderson Hall, Virginia.
Fort Myer is a 15 minute commute to/from the Arlington National Cemetery Metro Station, a 10-15 minute commute to/from the Rosslyn, Virginia Metro Station, and is accessible by bus transportation. The installation is approximately 7 miles from Washington D.C. and a short distance from major roadways and express highways.
Duties
Serves as Human Resources Program Manager with responsibility for management, oversight and integration of a variety of programs designed to support the well-being and personal development of the Soldiers, Civilian employees, and Family members.
Applies an extensive knowledge of management concepts, principles, and practices as well as a general knowledge of the methods, practices, and processes associated with the diverse work of the division.
Advises on implementation of policies and programs to the Garrison Commander (GC), Garrison Manager (GM), Deputy to the Garrison Commander (DGC), and Deputy Garrison Manager (DGM).
Provides technical and administrative supervision of administrative, professional, and technical personnel engaged in directorate operations.
Serves as spokesperson and representative in meetings and conferences with partner organizations and representatives of higher echelons.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
