This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for AcqDemo Business and Technical Management Career Path (NH) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. This series is covered under the ACWA examining program. The position is being recruited at the NH-02 level (GS 5-11 equivalent). You must meet the qualification requirements for the position and complete/pass the ACWA assessment

Duties

Ensure that inquiries and problems concerning computer hardware, software, or services are expeditiously resolved through the local Network Enterprise Center (NEC). Serve as a member of a team responsible for the planning or acquisition of designated information technology assets, i.e. computer hardware/software, and network assets. Analyze and diagnose difficult and complex issues reported by IT users pertinent to a wide variety of approved software.

Requirements

  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
  • Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level II - Practitioner in Acquisition Career Field Program Management within 60 months of entrance on duty.
  • Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 is required on pre-employment and annually thereafter.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
  • Selectee must meet position requirements for (A) Program Management Certification within 60 months of entrance on duty.
  • 25% Business Travel
  • This is a Defense Cyberspace Workforce Framework (DCWF) position as outlined in DoDD 8140.01- Cyberspace Workforce Management, Encl 2, Par 9(c)(d).

To Qualify at NH-02 Grade Level: Experience: Must demonstrate each of the four competencies: 1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2) Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3) Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4) Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. -OR- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-01/GS04)
