This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base Facilities and Major Range and Test Facilities Base, NDAA 1125 (a) and (c). to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: This is a Supply Technician, GS-2005-06 position located at Tooele Army Depot, Directorate of Ammunition Operations, Tooele, UT.
Duties
Receives and edits a variety of documents for completeness and correctness of data, which requires the interpretation of keyed symbols and a thorough knowledge of Ammunition regulations.
Receives requisitions for the shipment of ammunition and components.
Receives notification of incoming and outgoing shipments. Uses thorough knowledge of supply requirements to provide support to production, shipping and receiving, demil, etc., operations.
Coordinates reconciliations of overages and shortages of ammunition with Inventory personnel. Resolves discrepancies in overages and shortages by conducting extensive history studies.

Specialized Experience: One year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: using an automated supply system to enter, correct, and/or retrieve supply data; and editing a variety of supply documents for completeness and correctness of data.
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you may qualify if your education meets the definitions below:
At least 9 semester hours of graduate level education from a nationally accredited university and directly related to Supply Management. (NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts for verification)
Combinations of successfully completed education and specialized experience described above may be used to meet the total qualification requirements at the GS-06 level.
