You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Headquarters, U.S. Marine Corps, Comptroller of MARFORRES NOLA.

Duties

You will provide formulation of budget and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities, including presenting and defending budget estimates before authorities. You will coordinate with and support the Senior Financial Manager in order to provide budgetary guidance. You will create phasing plans, projection plans, budget request, and execute fund distributions. You will discuss programs, attend briefs and conduct analysis of classified and secret topics with various organizations. You will provide a variety of other fiscal, accounting, or financial management duties and responsibilities.

• This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing as fiscal advisor in financial management related to budget execution and budget formulation process, policy and procedures.
