You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT (OA) in the BUSINESS MANAGEMENT OFFICE of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.
Duties
You will screen incoming documents (e.g., mail, correspondence, reports) to determine action.
You will use an automated computer file system to update documents and files.
You will compose correspondence from handwritten or electronic drafts using rules of grammar, punctuation, spelling, and format.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Using personal computers and available software applications programs to provide clerical and administrative support;
2) Planning, organizing, and coordinating office schedules for an activity;
3) Assisting with researching and preparing narrative and statistical material in a wide variety of formats in support to the administrative and management functions of the office;
4) Gathering and reaching regulations; interviewing personnel; collecting data from various sources; in support of management studies;
5) Providing support to personnel with various administrative tasks including preparation of correspondence..
