The selectee for this position will serve as a Transportation Assistant in the Fleet Readiness Center Mid-Atlantic, Aircraft Department in Virginia Beach, VA.
Duties
You will be required to have knowledge of DTS, DOD and DON GTCC programs, DOD financial management debt collection and official travel principles, practices and procedures ; travel regulations, methods and processes.
You will review and analyze official travel regulations to ensure processing requirements in an adequate time.
You will review technical date and interpret GTCC program requirements.
You will perform a wide range of interrelated and/or non-standard travel assignments to help resolve a wide range of issues and/or problems that may arise in any emergency and non-emergency situation
You will require knowledge in Microsoft office and any other web based programs; in procedures with passports and visas, and in Joint Federal Travel Regulations (JTFR) volumes 1 and 2.

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-5 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing guidance to Government Travel Charge Card training material and training to card holders; communicating program issues with cardholders; Identifying issues with Government Travel Charge Card program and provider support devices; Ensuring sufficient controls are implemented to reduce abuse and misuse; Establishing accounts receivables; Coordinating travel documents and travel vouchers; Making official travel, transportation and lodging reservations.
