You will serve as a Aircraft Overhaul & Repair Supervisor I in the MRO Production Department, Production Lines Division of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.

Duties

You will monitor aircraft overhaul work to ensure that adjustments, repairs, and replacements are completed per operating guidelines. You will plan and assign work of other employees to verify aircraft overhaul and repair work is completed on time. You will instruct others regarding completion of aircraft overhaul and repair projects. You will direct authorized aircraft repairs using the latest specifications, engineering drawings, technical manuals, general information, structural manual specifications, and negotiated customer agreements.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to Lead or Supervise such as: 1) Coordinating and Supervising engine personnel in achieving production operations within various platforms ensuring quality cost, staffing needs and scheduling are met; 2) Evaluating resources, materials and the number of personnel along with the skill level needed to accomplish scheduled work operations; 3) Understanding of rules, regulations and procedures concerning safety, Tool Control Programs, FOD, Fire, good working practices and hazardous Material regulations for the shop; 4) Monitoring the quality aspect of the work by ensuring all work is inspected in the proper sequence; 5) Facilitating production using judgment and analysis in areas such as determining work time, preparing and implementing procedures, detecting bottlenecks, making and interpreting reports, keeping records, interpreting technical data, and making computations.
