You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY) in the Military Personnel Division
of NAVAL ACADEMY.
Duties
You will maintain databases containing personal or sensitive information to ensure proper protection and accountability.
You will analyze and retrieve data from various information sources for use in answering queries, responding to correspondence, or preparing reports.
You will provide personnel functions and record maintenance for active duty personnel utilizing military personnel information systems.
You will communicate orally and in writing and to interact with others to explain complex actions in regard to entitlements, allowances, or collections.
You will have knowledge of various office software programs, electronic mail and Internet research options.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-05) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Advising employees on personnel and/or pay policies, procedures and requirements: 2) Maintaining administrative records, forms and files; 3) Entering data in automated system with the ability to recognize errors or inconsistencies and correct inaccurate information; and 4) Utilizing standard office equipment (e.g., scanners, copiers, fax machines) to perform a range of office automation support functions.
