Serves as a Operations Manager in an en route facility and is responsible for planning and directing the operations in the facility; or planning and directing multiple support activities for the facility such as training, quality assurance, traffic management, airspace and procedures, plans and programs, and other facility program areas.

Duties

Directs a highly technical workforce that provides either air traffic control services and/or tactical and strategic support. The work impacts the effectiveness and efficiency of the day-to day operations of the facility. Work typically impacts the safe, orderly, and expeditious movement of aircraft as well as the efficient operation of segments of the aviation industry.

Requirements

• US Citizenship is required.
• Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
• Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents)
• Designated or Random Drug Testing required.
• MUST complete and submit the first page of FAA Form 3330-43

Qualifications

To qualify for this position:1. Must have held an FAA 2152 FG-14 or above regional or headquarters position for at least 1 year (52 weeks);OR2. Must have been facility rated or area certified for at least 1 year (52 weeks) in an ATS facility; (NOTE: An employee who has been facility rated or area certified for at least 1 year (52 weeks) in an ATS facility that is upgraded is considered to meet the qualification requirements of the upgraded position, since he/she has been performing the higher-graded work);OR3. Must have held a MSS position or above for at least 1 year (52 weeks) in an ATS facility.4. IN ADDITION to meeting the qualification requirements above, candidates MUST also be eligible and meet Revision 1, "MSS Qualification Requirements for AT-2152 Terminal and En Route Positions, (Revision 1) dated 11/08/99". For this particular position, applicants MUST currently hold or have held the position of MSS-2 or higher for at least 1 year (52 weeks) or a FAA 2152 FV-J/FG-14 or higher in a Headquarters or Region position for at least 1 year (52 weeks).Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement.FAA employees, their spouses and minor children may not hold stock or any other securities interest in an airline, aircraft manufacturing company, or in a supplier of components of parts to an aircraft manufacturing company.
