Serves as Assistant General Manager (AGM) in the ATO; Air Traffic Services; Western Service Area, Seattle District Office, responsible for planning and directing multiple activities and programs in a complex matrix organization in a specific Air Traffic District assigned to the highest facility-level within the Seattle District.The AGM shares full managerial responsibility and authority, reporting to the General Manager (GM) and acts in the absence of the GM, as required.

Duties

Applies extensive knowledge/experience in management of terminal/enroute air traffic facilities to integrate air traffic operations, support services and administrative programs to advance the tactical use of concepts and technologies to achieve the strategic goals of ATO and FAA.

Requirements

• US Citizenship is required.
• Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
• Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents).
• Designated or Random Drug Testing required.
• MUST complete and submit the first page of FAA Form 3330-43.
• A Supervisory Probationary Period may be required.

Qualifications

Candidates must show specialized experience. Specialized experience is defined as:1) Must have held an FAA 2152 FG-14/FV-J or above regional or headquarters positions for at least 1 year (52 weeks); or2) Must have been facility rated or area certified for at least 1 year (52 weeks) at an ATS facility (Note: an employee who has been facility rated or area certified for at least 1 year (52 weeks) in an ATS facility that is upgraded is considered to meet the qualification requirements of the upgraded position, since he or she has been performing the higher-graded work; or3) Must have held an MSS position for at least 1 year (52 weeks) in an ATS facility.In addition to the qualifications listed above for MSS positions, you must have held an MSS-3 or MSS-4 or an FG-2152-14/FV-J or above regional or headquarters position for at least 1 year (52 weeks) [IAW Qualification Requirements for AT-2152 Terminal and En Route Positions (Revision 1) dated 11/08/99].QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE MET BY THE CLOSING DATE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT.
