As a Building Management Specialist, you will assist the Building Manager and provides occupants of both Federal Government buildings and privately leased space with safe, secure, clean, and sustainable facilities in which to conduct agency business, and may specialize in one or more program areas.
Location of position: GSA, Public Buildings Service, Douglas, AZ
We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

The GS-09 salary range starts at $58,049.00 per year; The GS-11 salary range starts at $70,234.00 per year. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected. To qualify for the GS-09 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level or higher in the Federal service or meet the below education substitution.
Specialized experience is experience assisting in managing office buildings or other office complexes including improving customer and client agency satisfaction with building services; assisting in negotiation of service contracts and lease provisions; assisting in the preparation of service contracts; assisting in development of maintenance programs; monitoring building operations, maintenance, repair, custodial, recycling, environmental managementand alterations, etc. to ensure compliance with agency requirements and industry standards; and assisting with inspections of designated space or facilities;
OR
posess a master's or equivalent level degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level related graduate education leading to such a degree or an LL.B. or JD. Such education must be related to the position and demonstrate theknowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work;
OR
posess a combination of graduate level education and appropriate experience that together meet the qualifi cation requirements of this position.
To qualify for the GS-11 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level or higher in the Federal service or posess the below education substitution.
Specialized experience is experience assisting in the management of large offi ce buildings or large offi ce complexes including improving customer and client agency satisfaction with building services; assisting in negotiation of servicecontracts and lease provisions; preparing service contracts; assisting in development of maintenance programs; evaluating and monitoring building operations, maintenance, repair, custodial, recycling, environmentalmanagement and alterations, etc. to ensure compliance with agency requirements and industry standards; assisting with budget formulation and execution; and conducting inspections of designated space or facilities;
ORPossess related education: 3 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. To be qualifying, graduate education must have provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position;
OR
A combination of graduate level education and appropriate experience that together meet the qualification requirements of this position.
