Duties
Responsible for providing system-wide direction in the development, operation and monitoring of drug treatment programs in the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) institutions nationwide. Responsible for the review and update of policy related to administrative procedures, treatments, and management of drug treatment programs in the institutions. Responsible for the development of budget requests all allocation of financial resources for drug treatment services and for developing all budgetary aspects of this program including a system for allocating funding to the various types of drug treatment programs.

Qualifications
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following: Basic Requirements: Satisfactory completion of all the requirements for a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology is required. NOTE: Applicants may have received this degree in either clinical or counseling psychology. AND In addition to the basic requirements, you must have: Education: There is no substitution of education for specialized experience for this position. Experience: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level. To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically be in or related to the position to be filled. Some examples of the qualifying experience are:
Experience in analyzing a variety of sources of information, formulating a plan of action, and communicating recommendations to top level executives verbally and in writing.
Experience in program evaluation and the application of research findings to the management and treatment of inmates with psychological and behavioral disorders.
Experience in the assessment and treatment of psychological and behavioral problems in a correctional setting.

In addition to the basic requirements, all applicants must meet the following Selective Placement Factor: Applicants must hold a full, current, and unrestricted license to practice psychology at the doctoral level in a State, Territory, Commonwealth of the United States (e.g., Puerto Rico), or the District of Columbia.
