Duties
You will serve as the SECURITY SPECIALIST in the FLEET WEATHER CENTER (FLEWEACEN), OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT, FLEET WEATHER CENTER of SAN DIEGO, CA
You will provide the overall security support to the command's Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF).
You will schedule, conduct, and properly document Semi-Annual Intrusion Detection System and PD response force testing.
You will conduct periodic inspections of the areas within and surrounding the SCIF including under false floors and above false ceilings to detect unauthorized penetrations or modifications to physical boundaries.
You will oversees all aspects of the special courier program.
You will develops and conducts all security pre-nomination and indoctrination briefings/de-briefing for personnel granted SCI access
You will conduct background checks, interviews, and creates required memoranda to develop and submit ICD 704 complaint interim SCI Access request.
Requirements

- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of SPECIALIZED experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience utilizing security and Intelligence Community (IC) based websites.
Experience performing security concepts, principles and policies to analyze and resolve difficult, complex and unusual problems and to act as the organizational technical authority for SCI security programs.
Experience performing technical aspects of security and intelligence operations based upon a significant amount of experience in these fields.
Experience composing, updating and annually review SCIF Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Emergency Action Plans (EAPs).

Education
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M., if related
COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be combined to meet the total qualification requirements.
